Rabbi Torgmant has been Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Monaco - Edmond J. Safra Synagogue - since 2010.

He received his Rabbinic ordination from Machon Ariel, Jerusalem (2003-2010), and gained a BA in Hebrew and Civilization from the Inalco Institute, Paris, and a MA in Hebrew and Jewish
Thought from the University of Strasbourg.
Rabbi Torgmant is married to Deborah and together they have 4 children : Ychaï, Moshé, Adassa and Hillel.
David was the pupil of Chief Rabbi of France Yossef Haim Sitruk - of blessed Memory ZL”.
He is also an accomplished professional in Finance - as President and Partner at The Stanhope Capital Group, one of the leading private banking and asset management firms with over USD 24 billion dollars under supervision.
For Chanuka, David has chosen to tackle the theme of “Chanuka or the lights of hope“, which should resonate with every one of us, particularly during these extraordinary times of the COVID pandemic
